Environmental Career Scholarship
The scholarship application deadline is February 28, 2026.
The IWEA Environmental Career Scholarship is designed to aid science minded students preparing for college. IWEA will award a $500 scholarship to a high school student who is college bound and interested in science and the environment. Scholarship winners will be introduced at the Illinois Wastewater Professionals Conference. The IWEA will offer a reimbursement grant of up to $250 to the teacher who wrote letter of recommendation for the scholarship award winner.
Students must meet the following requirements to be considered for the scholarship.
- Be an Illinois resident and attend high school in Illinois.
- Be a college bound senior, willing to submit enrollment documentation before receiving the scholarship remittance.
- Have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5.
- Submit a complete application packet to Scholarship Committee
