Environmental Technician The City of Janesville, WI, is seeking an individual for a challenging, entry-level professional position with the Water and Wastewater Utilities.  Duties will involve providing administrative, operational, and technical assistance within the Utilities, including evaluation and assisting maintenance of existing Utility operations; coordinating Utility projects with selected State and Federal agencies; assisting in preparation and monitoring of Utilities’ budgets; assisting wastewater laboratory staff with collecting and analyzing samples and reporting data.  Specific actions can include all aspects of Utility activities ranging from simple administrative activities to involvement in complex projects.  Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Resource Management, Chemistry, Biology, or Public/Environmental Administration; demonstrated technical report writing skills; valid WI drivers license; excellent written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of water and wastewater environmental regulations and process control activities desired.  Janesville residency preferred.  Salary Range : $36,771-$52,263.  Excellent fringe benefits.  Send resume with cover letter by 1/29/10, to:   City of Janesville Human Resources Division P.O.
