A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Illinois Water Environment Association was called to order by President Chuck Corley at 1:00 p.m. at the Wyndham Lisle in Lisle, Illinois.

Present at the Meeting were Greg Brunst, Chuck Corley, Fred Dale, Mary Johnson, Lou Kollias, Bill Munch, and Dennis Priewe.

1. Chuck Corley discussed the logo shirts. They have been ordered and are currently being manufactured. He will ship them to committee chairs once they arrive so that we can wear them Tuesday, March 11, 2003, the first day of the 2003 Annual Conference.
   
2. Chuck Corley briefly described the acknowledgement certificate he and Mary are working on. The certificate can be signed by any IWEA member to acknowledge special efforts and jobs well done.
   
3. Chuck Corley discussed the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. Toby Duckett agreed to work with Fred Dale the Public Education and Student Affairs Committee to choose this year’s nominations for the SJWP. In future years, nominations for the SJWP will be the responsibility of the Public Education and Student Affairs Committee.

Mary Johnson moved and Bill Munch seconded that the Public Education and Student Affairs Committee choose the SJWA nominee from either the Illinois Junior Academy of Sciences winner or nominees submitted by WEF. In any particular year the Public Education and Student Affairs Committee may choose not to submit a nomination if none of the projects meet acceptable standards.

The motion was approved. 5 ayes, 0 nays.

4. Chuck Corley stated invitations to the Monday, March 10, 2003 Committee Chair Dinner are in the mail.
